Types of Court Bonds

Court bonds have two main focuses. The first is to ensure that the payment determined will reach the party that wins in a particular case. The second situation is to provide a guarantee that an individual’s finances will be properly taken care of by those in charge, i.e. the guardian or custodian in that role. Executor bonds – otherwise known as probate bonds – also come into play following a death to ensure that the assets held in an estate are suitably protected.
